The three core components of Super DM Technology

BYD Super DM technology is made up of three core components:

Electric Hybrid System (EHS)

The Electric Hybrid System (EHS) features a highly integrated powertrain, incorporating high-speed dual motors, dual controllers, and cutting-edge oil-cooling technology, all engineered to maximise motor power density and efficiency.

High-Speed Dual Motors
The EHS is equipped with powerful high-speed dual motors, capable of reaching up to 15,000 rpm. The P1 motor generates power, while the P3 motor drives the wheels, delivering exceptional performance across diverse driving conditions.  

Hairpin Motor Technology
By employing advanced hairpin technology, the EHS greatly improves heat dissipation, achieving peak efficiency of up to 97% and maintaining stability above 90% under most operating conditions.  

Oil Cooling Technology
The system utilises oil cooling technology to directly address heat sources, enhancing dissipation efficiency and increasing motor power density to a maximum of 5.5 kW/kg.  

Highly Integrated Dual-Motor Controller
Leveraging IGBT technology, the dual-motor controller maximises electronic control efficiency, reaching an impressive rate of 98.9%.

Xiaoyun 1.5L/1.5T Hybrid engine

The Xiaoyun engine is uniquely designed for Super DM Technology, combining outstanding thermal efficiency with a compact and streamlined structure. This innovative design enhances power output, providing impressive peak power and torque.

With a 50% improvement in space utilisation compared to conventional battery packs, the Blade Battery achieves higher energy density, extending the vehicle's range.
