With a generous 2.70m wheelbase, the DOLPHIN provides ample space for both the driver and passengers. Additionally, the standard 16-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 17-inch wheels, offering a sportier appearance.

SAFETY

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS

The BYD DOLPHIN sets a new standard for safety in electric cars, offering a comprehensive range of advanced driver assistance features as standard. Recognised as one of the safest options available, every version of the BYD DOLPHIN comes equipped with a full suite of safety technologies, including a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), and Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC).

Further enhancing its safety credentials, the BYD DOLPHIN also includes Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Cross Traffic Brake (RTCB) as standard. Using millimetre-wave radar, these systems actively detect approaching vehicles during reverse manoeuvres. If a potential collision is detected, the car will alert the driver and automatically apply the brakes, reinforcing its commitment to safety.

Built on the advanced BYD e-Platform 3.0, specifically designed for pure electric vehicles, the BYD DOLPHIN delivers significant improvements in intelligence, efficiency, safety, and aesthetics. The e-Platform 3.0 enhances the DOLPHIN’s visual appeal with compact front and rear overhangs and a longer wheelbase. This design not only enhances the car's overall look but also creates a more spacious rear passenger compartment, featuring a flat floor that provides ample comfort and space for passengers in the middle seat.

HIGH PERFORMANCE BATTERY

BYD BLADE BATTERY

The groundbreaking Blade Battery, a standout feature of the BYD DOLPHIN, has been revolutionising safety, durability, and performance in the electric vehicle (EV) industry for over 28 years. Made from lithium iron phosphate (LFP), a safe and sustainable material that eliminates the need for resource-intensive materials like nickel and cobalt, the battery offers remarkable advantages. The BYD DOLPHIN is equipped with a 60 kWh LFP Blade Battery, providing an impressive range of up to 427 km on a single charge.

Supporting 11 kW AC charging, the BYD DOLPHIN can be fully recharged in approximately 8 hours from empty. Additionally, with 100 kW DC fast charging, the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in just 29 minutes.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

HIGH-EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

The BYD DOLPHIN comes equipped with an advanced heat pump system as standard, enhancing the car's energy efficiency and overall range. This innovative system captures residual heat from the powertrain, passenger compartment, and batteries, repurposing it for both heating and cooling.

Designed for optimal performance in a range of temperatures, the heat pump system ensures the BYD DOLPHIN remains comfortable in all weather conditions.
